Malmstrom AFB hosts "Amazing Race" competition

Airman from Malmstrom Air Force Base came together this morning for a friendly competition.

The third annual Amazing Race Malmstrom Style brought airman of all ranks out to compete against each other.

The purpose of the race is to help airman learn about the Integrated Delivery System, which is the different programs that are offered on base.

Integrated Delivery System includes the Airman and Family Readiness Center, Chapel, Child Development Center, Equal Opportunity, Exceptional Family Member Program, Family Advocacy Program, First Sergeants, Health Promotions, Mental Health, Public Affairs, Community Support Coordinator, Specialist for Primary Prevention of Violence, Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate, Military Family Life Counselor, Key Spouse, School Liaison Officer, Sexual Assault Response Program, Youth Center, Family Child Care, Diversity, and Recovery Care Coordinator.

"It was called the Wingman Challenge back in 2015 and in 2016 they renamed it the Amazing Race. People had the aha moment when they went to these agencies they were like wow I never knew that this actually existed or the Air Force Provides this for free." Master Sergeant Sherry Matthews, 341st Missile Wing Inspector General Office said. 

Six teams of four had to start the competition with an Air Force History Test before they were able to get there race packet.

Tasks included doing a group pull up at the base gym to getting a tour of the museum.

They had to take picture proof of each task completed and the team who had the most points received a three days off.
