HELENA -

KXLH and the Montana Television Network are excited to announce the launch of a new KRTV STORMTracker Weather App.

The app, which launched Thursday for iOS and Android users, has been in the works for months.

"As Montana's weather leader, we are committed to providing central Montanans with the most accurate weather coverage on TV, online, and on the go," said STORMTracker meteorologist Mike Rawlins.

The new app features a scrolling home page, much like mobile users find on Facebook or Twitter.

"With the flick of your thumb, you can scroll through current conditions, the hour-by-hour forecast, and our interactive weather map," said Rawlins.

New features include an exclusive video forecast right on the home screen, customized headlines from the weather team, and push notifications from the STORMTracker Weather Center, when warranted.

Those who already have the app on their phone or tablet will simply need to download the update.

The app is free to download for everyone from the Apple App Store and Google Play, just search "KXLH."
