Veterans get holiday help through Angels In Camo

Posted: Updated:

Santa Claus made a special delivery in Great Falls on Wednesday for dozens of military veterans and their families.

This is the seventh year of the Angels In Camo program.

Forty veterans and 30 children were able to receive Christmas presents through the special program.

This year the group came out to the VFW on 10th Avenue South to not only pick up gifts but to also enjoy some lunch and camaraderie

One couple from Augusta was especially thankful.

"Christmas was not going to happen this year. We spent to much time in Helene, it costs money to stay down there, well he recovered from his stroke. There wonderful. My husband needed clothes and that's what they got him. It helps." Cathrine Powell.

The veterans who received gifts were chosen through an application process.
