An AMBER alert has been issued for 6-year old Danika Packard of Washington.

The Montana Department of Justice issued the AMBER Alert at 4:28 p.m. on Monday.

Danika was taken by her mother, Tracy Packard, from school in Spokane, Washington.

Tracy took her from school stating she was going to “take the child to be with the Lord.”

Danika is 4' and about 55 pounds. She has brown hair and was last seen wearing jeans and a pink or purple top.

Tracy is 5'6" and about 170 pounds with brown hair and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a blue hoodie with white lettering.

The suspect vehicle is a maroon 2002 Buick LeSabre with Washington license plate 934YVS.

According to KREM in Spokane, Danika's father said Tracy had been acting odd in the last few days, and her behavior was not normal and he was fearful for their safety.

They were last seen headed eastbound on I-90 from Post Falls, Idaho at 12:04 p.m. on Monday.

Anyone who sees either of them, or the vehicle, or has any information about their location, is asked to call 911, or the Spokane County Sheriff's Office at 509-456-2233.

(UPDATE, 4:49 p.m.) Authorities in Spokane say that Danika and Tracy have been found and both are safe. No other details have been released at this point.

(UPDATE, 5:35 p.m.) The Spokane County Sheriff's Office says that just after 3:00 p.m., an alert citizen noticed the vehicle and reported the mother and daughter were walking in the area of 33rd and Fiske after the Amber Alert was issued.  He immediately called and reported the information.

Spokane Police Officers quickly responded to the scene and made contact.

Spokane Valley and Spokane County Deputies also responded to the location and the family was notified.

Danika has been safely returned to her father and her mother is being evaluated.
