Law enforcement officials are looking for information about a series of attempted break-ins at Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks' fee collection boxes along the Missouri River south of Great Falls.
During the first week of September, someone tried to drill through the padlock of four unattended metal boxes, known as iron rangers, at several FWP Fishing Access Sites.
The incidents happened at Wolf Creek Bridge FAS, Craig FAS, Lichen Cliff FAS and Prickly Pear FAS.
The fees collected from the sites help pay to upkeep public facilities.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Lewis & Clark County Sheriff’s office at (406) 447-8293, or FWP at 1-800-TIPMONT.
