BILLINGS - Paulina, this month's "A Waiting Child," is well-rounded, mature and knows what she wants to be when she grows up.

"I really want to help people, like kids my age, like when I'm older," Paulina said. "I really want to be a therapist or maybe somebody who has a therapy dog to help with other kids."

And as she walks through Riverfront Park, she also talked about her passion for cooking.

"That's one thing I like to do is be creative," Paulina said. "I like to cook too. I mix different spices together to make a good meal. My favorite thing to cook because I love mashed potatoes, and I make the bomb mashed potatoes ever."

She shows compassion as she talks about walking her friend's dog, Walter.

"He was a little stubborn, but it's ok," said Paulina. "Just because he wants to do what he wants, but it's ok. He's like 13, 14 and he has one eye, so I understand.

And she likes school and sports.

"I played soccer my freshman year for while," Paulina said. "I played volleyball in 8th grade, I've done track. I really like to learn. I like history. Math I struggle with sometimes, but pretty good at it for the most part."

And she'd like to be part of a family.

"Preferably a mom and a dad," Paulina said. "I've never really had a family thing, I just know it from the movies. Definitely ones that like dogs."
