The election was held just over two weeks ago, and now it's official: the votes have been canvassed for Lewis & Clark County.

The Montana mid-term election is over for most people - but not for the candidates and voters in Senate District 25 and House District 62.
Roy Brown and Kendall Van Dyk are separated by only 16 votes in SD 25, with Republican Brown at 3,087 votes and Democrat Van Dyk at 3,103 votes.

Voter turnout in Lewis & Clark County was higher than it's been in years, at 60.74%.
There were 41,668 registered voters in the county, and 25,322 of them cast ballots in Tuesday's election.

Even though it appears the Montana mid-term election is over, not all ballots have been counted.
While Lewis & Clark County officials worked through the night to make sure all the ballots made it through the machines, there are others that still need to be counted.

In the past 18 months, the Tea Party has gone from non-existence to helping candidates win elections all over the country.
Here in Great Falls, Republicans picked up three open seats previously held by Democrats with wins by Cleve Loney, Steve Fitzpatrick, and Ed Buttrey.

Montana's U.S. Congressman Denny Rehberg is going back to Washington for his sixth term in the U.S. House of Representatives.
