Montana's first snow of the 2012-2013 season is in the history books.
While most locations received less than an inch of snow, some higher elevation areas picked up over nearly a foot.
Here are the unofficial snow totals from around north central MT as of 1:45 pm...
Later tonight, skies will clear just a bit and temperatures will drop quickly.
Thursday morning will be quite chilly with lows in the teens and 20s.
With unstable conditions continuing through Friday, spotty rain or snow showers are expected off and on.
It's hard to pin down the exact timing of these showers, so don't be surprised if you see a few raindrops or snowflakes from time to time.
We'll see a mix of sunshine and clouds into the weekend with slightly warmer temperatures.
