A BNSF train derailed on Tuesday afternoon near Bainville on the Montana Hi-Line after crashing into a semi trailer.
The Billings Gazette reports that the driver of the semi is being treated at a Billings hospital.
There were no reported injuries of train personnel.
Bainville is located between Culbertson, MT, and Williston, ND.
KRTV friend Brian Dains drove by the scene of the derailment on Wednesday and shared these pictures and this video, which shows that crews are still on the scene.
BNSF posted the following information:
As stated in a Service Advisory issued on Tuesday, January, 17, 2012 intermodal train Z-CHCSSE9-16 has derailed near Bainville, Montana at 14:21 CDT on Tuesday, January 17, 2012.
This location is approximately 15 miles west of Snowden, Montana.
The main track is estimated to return to service late tomorrow night, January 18, 2012. BNSF will continue to provide you with additional information as it becomes available. Customers may experience delays of 24 to 48 hours on shipments moving through this corridor.
