Suspect arrested in Billings homicide

David B. Isaacson of Billings was arrested on Tuesday in connection with a death that took place early Christmas morning.

Isaacson was arrested on a charge of deliberate homicide.

According to the Billings Police Department, the victim was 34-year old Sabah Mallak, who was also from Billings.

Police responded to a report of gu shots fired shortly before 1 a.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of Galway Drive and Hawthorne Lane.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a red Pontiac Grand Am parked in front of a home on the 1100 block of Galway Drive.

According to Detective Sgt. Mitch Hart, the Grand Am appeared to have left the roadway and crashed into a front yard fence.

Mallak's body was located north of the vehicle laying in the street.

An initial investigation reveals Issacson and Mallak knew each other.

A weapon was recovered from the area that might be linked to the homicide.

Two vehicles from the scene were impounded pending search warrants.
