Great Falls police officers were forced to Taze a highly-agitated man on Wednesday night at the Triple Crown Motor Inn downtown.
Brandon Sorenson, 24, now faces five charges, including three felonies, for allegedly assaulting his 10-month old son while in possession of methamphetamine.
Officers were called to the Triple Crown for a disturbance, and when they arrived they found Sorenson in a hotel room with his infant son.
According to officers, Sorenson was very agitated and there was meth in plain view as officers entered the room.
The baby was taken to the emergency room with bruising, swelling, and red marks on his forehead; an emergency department physician believes the marks were caused by a hand.
The three felony charges against Sorenson are assault on a minor, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
