Arielle Schescke has been arrested and charged in connection with crash near East Helena on Tuesday night that killed two people.
Schescke, 21, was released from the hospital on Friday, and then arrested on a warrant and taken to jail where she appeared in justice court.
Schescke was charged with two counts of vehicular homicide in the deaths Mildred Richard, 51 years old, of Helena; and her grand-daughter Justine Smith, 16 years old.
Schescke was the driver of the car that was reported to be driving the wrong way which hit a Ford Probe head-on, killing Richard and Smith.
The charges carry up to 30 years maximum time in prison each and or up to a $50,000 fine.
Schescke's passenger, listed as Dustin Michelle, is still in the hospital in critical condition.
Schescke was given a $100,000 dollar bond.
If she posts bond, there are several conditions she must comply with, including wearing a SCRAM alcohol-monitoring bracelet and no driving.
The Montana Highway Patrol, which is investigating the accident, reported that alcohol was determined to be a factor in the crash.
