Yellowstone National Park is the vacation destination for millions of Americans every year, and it's also the ultimate field trip for thousands of Montana's students.
Geyser Elementary teacher Rebecca Boucher will take the big trip with dozens of her students this spring, thanks in part to a $250 grant from KRTV and First Interstate Bank as part of our "One Class At A Time" series.
Mrs. Boucher says a week in Yellowstone will allow her students to grow in countless ways.
Boucher noted, "The educational value, the personal growth they'll be able to achieve is just absolutely...you can't measure it."
The group will stay in cabins during their week in Yellowstone, and will spend time studying the land and it's history, plus practice their cooking skills by preparing their own meals.
We'll continue handing out checks to area educators through the end of the school year.
