Montana students are continuing to beat national trends when it comes to ACT scores.
Superintendent of Public Schools Denise Juneau reports Montana's 2011 graduating class earned an average score of 22.1. The national average is 21.1.
Juneau reports more and more students are taking the ACT test. Last school year 60% of Montana graduates took the test, this compares to 58% from the previous year.
Juneau says these results suggest more Montana students are graduating from high school with the academic skills they will need to succeed in college.
The ACT measures English, Math, Reading, and Science.
