A 54-year-old man was found dead at a Butte residence early Wednesday morning where he had reportedly attended a party the previous evening.

Authorities received a call at 7:43 a.m. Wednesday from people who were at the residence. The people who reported the death admitted to partying all night then waking up to find the man dead, according to Butte-Silver Bow Sheriff John Walsh.

As of now, police do not believe any criminal activity was involved.

The residence was in the 1100 block of South Main Street. The man was from Butte, but this was not his residence.

The incident is under investigation. The coroner is expected to release more information later.
