KRTV honors Rocky Boy and Big Sandy for basketball glory

Here's a look at Rocky Boy and Big Sandy, the first two local teams to bring home state glory in this year's basketball championships. Scroll down or click the camera icon in the headline to watch the video.

Tim Henry, "To win the State Championship with this group of kids is a dream come true."

Leisen Oats, "I can't explain it, it's just an unbelievable feeling, I've never had this feeling before and I just love it."

Jerod Parker, "It's real big you know, it's a great feeling, it's unbearable I just can't explain it, it's too much for me right now."

Cheering on basketball champsHenry, "I can't tell you how proud I am of my boys, they finally got what they deserve."

"Shelby, they're going to be back here again next year in this game, Chase White and Chase Ballantyne, they're big time players."

Corbin Pearson, "It's incredible, team did a great job, it was amazing."

Blake Brumwell, "It wasn't looking very good halfway through the 4th quarter or so, it would have been pretty easy for us to give up but I'm really proud of all of our guys top to bottom."

Pearson, "We knew they were gonna go for a last second shot, we just wanted to play tough defense."

Brumwell, "There was a lot of drama if he got it off in time."

Pearson, "Once they shot it I knew that time was running down and we had to get it down the floor, I went on a fast break and they made the call."

Brumwell, "I went up and told him a little joke to try and take his mind off it but he didn't even need it, he's a stud."

Also of note: U.S. Senator Jon Tester - a Big Sandy native - praised his hometown basketball team on the floor of the U.S. Senate and released this video:
