Helena prepares for Easter Egg Hunt

This year marks the 82nd annual Easter Egg Hunt on the Capitol lawn in Helena.

But getting those 8,000 eggs ready needs a little more than just Easter magic from a certain bunny; the volunteers of Eagles Aerie #16 spend time each year making sure that the annual event goes off without a hitch.

Don Flammond of Eagles Aerie #16 said, "You know for something like this and to see the satisfaction on the kids' faces along with the parents, what we have done through the years, they really take and enjoy it and we get a lot of thanks for it and this is what we are here for."

Of the 8,000 eggs out on the Capitol lawn, two are the lucky golden eggs worth $25 each to the lucky egg-hunters that finds them.

But that's not all; Flammond said, "We have 350 eggs that are marked at a dollar apiece and they get a crisp dollar bill."

The hunt will begin at 1pm on Sunday and is open to all children.
