The Helena Police Department has released a list of reported incidents from the past several days.
Jan 13: Reported at 6 p.m. Victim advised that while she was moving to her new place in the 3200 block of Highway 12 east she had been leaving some things outside. Sometime between Thursday and when she reported it someone stole a large wooden bench with a carved elk head in the middle. Value $600
Jan 12: At 2:20 pm. vehicle hit a house on Goldrush causing a lot of damage to the house (bedroom) and the vehicle. Vehicle was a 2000 Nissan Xterra. William Nestor Fernandez, 50 years old from Helena, was cited for careless driving. The crash is still under investigation and more charges may be pending depending on the results from the crime lab.
Jan 13: Around 1 a.m. at 501 East 6th Avenue. Vehicle hit an apartment building causing extensive damage to the building and vehicle. Vehicle was a 2004 Dodge Dakota Pickup. Driver was taken to St. Peters Hospital where he was admitted. Ryan James Petrosky, age 26 was cited for DUI and careless driving. Accident is still under investigation.
Jan 13: Victim reported to police that some time during the previous evening someone entered his unlocked garage and removed $940 worth of items. Included are a Stihl chainsaw, meat smoker, socket wrench, cooler, two Dewalt drills, Milwaukee grinder, and a drill.
Jan 13: Around 6:10 a.m. Victim advised that while she was jogging in the area of 1900 block of Beltview she heard a voice behind her yell, "I'm going to get you....I'm going to get you." She looked back and saw a dark figure but could offer no description. She ran to a house in the area and called the police. No suspects were located.
