Helena played host to a big event over the weekend - of the ping pong variety.

It was a ping pong - or is it table tennis? - event to benefit the Friendship Center in Helena, held at the Broadwater Athletic Club.

In addition to raising money for the Friendship Center, it was also a chance to spread the word about the sport, and also engage in some good-natured debate over the proper name of the game.

Some heavy-hitters were on hand, including Helena Mayor Jim Smith.
