Scot Schmidt, a Helena native, will once again be featured in a Warren Miller ski movie - the most recent film is called "Ticket to Ride."
Schmidt has been a professional skier for about 30 years. His downhill skills can be seen during the section filmed in Montana.
Schmidt can be seen skiing off of steep cliffs and mountainsides at Big Sky, where he spends much of his time.
He says he's proud to promote skiing in Montana: "This film is special because Montana has a really great segment in there about skiing in Montana."
Schmidt added, "It's such a great place we're just trying to get people to realize that Montana is an awesome destination, there's incredible skiing, the snow is always awesome and you know it's just kind of an initiative by the state of Montana to promote tourism."
The Helena premiere is sponsored and promoted by the Montana Office of Tourism, and film will debut on Friday at the Civic Center at 7:30 pm.
Tickets can be bought at the Civic Center, Capital Sports & Western Wear, Bob Wards, fourOsix, Blackfoot River Brewing, Lewis & Clark Brewing Company, Great Divide Ski Area, or at The Base Camp; click here for more ticket information.
