Two Helena colleges are the recipients of some generous scholarship money.
For the 11th year in a row the Student Assistance Foundation is giving out Access grants. 21 Montana postsecondary institutions will get this scholarship money.
Carroll College will receive just over $37,000. The University of Montana Helena is scheduled to get nearly $24,000.
In total the Foundation is giving out $1.25 million this year. S.A.F. awards the money based on enrollment numbers.
The days where a high school diploma are enough are probably gone for most people. Almost everybody needs some type of postsecondary education and that comes with a price tag. It's our delight that we are able to help students address the financial needs that they face when they pursue that postsecondary education," SAF Activities Vice President Kelly Cresswell says.
Cresswell says students interested in applying for these scholarships need to contact their local schools.
