After a season of near misses, Montana soccer finds themselves in need of some victories.
The Griz must win their final two games of the season to have any shot at making the Big Sky Conference tournament. They began that quest on Sunday at last place Northern Colorado.
The Grizzlies received some help from the Bears in Greeley when a Sarah Stevens free kick in the eighth minute was knocked into the net by a UNC player for an own goal. That gave the Grizzlies a 1-0 victory.
Montana must now beat Eastern Washington on Friday and also hope Idaho State loses to make it into the postseason.
