GREAT FALLS - Kirk Allen Jordan of Great Falls is facing several charges after allegedly threatening the mother of his unborn child with a gun.
According to court documents an argument over parental rights escalated when Jordan pulled a black pistol from his waist-band and pointed it at the victim on Tuesday, forcing her to sign over her rights to the unborn child.
The probable cause affidavit states that the woman initially refused, but after Jordan allegedly pointed the gun at her head, she wrote, "I sign my rights over to Kirk of the unborn child."
When police responded to the home, Jordan was gone, but while they were interviewing the woman, Jordan called her; she put the call on speaker so the officers could hear, and officers heard Jordan threatening the woman.
Officers then went to Jordan's home where they found him in his vehicle, and when they took him into custody he had marijuana, a straight razor, and brass knuckles on him, and a handgun in his vehicle. The affidavit states that the gun was not loaded.
Jordan told police that he did not take a gun into the home, and stated that the document he was talking about with the woman was a parenting plan.
Jordan is charged with one count of felony assault with a weapon, two misdemeanor counts of carrying concealed weapons, one count of misdemeanor possession of dangerous drugs, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
