The Great Falls Clinic announced that it is closing its locations in Fairfield and Choteau.
John Kinna, chief administrative officer of the Clinic said in a statement released on Friday, "The decision to close our Choteau Clinic after 14 years of living in, working with, and serving the community was difficult. But positive things are happening in the Choteau medical community and we do not want to stand in the way of its continued and future success."
The Teton Medical Center is still available to provide care for Teton County residents, noted TMC spokeswoman Joyce Lindgren.
The Choteau and Fairfield clinics will close on May 1st, which is also the deadline for the Teton Medical Center and Great Falls Clinic to conclude discussions regarding plans for a single Rural Health Clinic program.
The current discussions include a clinic for primary care services on the Teton Medical Center campus with a space for outreach services at Choteau's current Great Falls Clinic location.
Great Falls Clinic spokeswoman Geannine Rapp Purpura says the 14 employees of the Choteau and Fairfield clinics are being offered opportunities to explore openings at Great Falls Clinic.
