Four people died in a two vehicle crash in Flathead County on Saturday night, including a 12-year old girl and a 13-year old boy.

The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the crash happened around 6:00 p.m. near Happys Inn on U.S. Highway 2.

A 17-year old male fell asleep at the wheel as he was driving in the eastbound lane. He then struck the edge of the road and woke up, but over-corrected and struck a van carrying three people head-on.

The 17-year old was ejected and died while a 59-year old woman along with the 13-year old boy and the 12-year old girl all died at the scene.

Officials say they were all wearing seatbelts and no one involved in the accident had been drinking.
