Dueling rallies were held in Bozeman on Sunday, and the subject was wolves.
Supporters of an event called "Howl Across America" gathered to show support for wolves in Montana.
Opponents who got wind of the event held a rally of their own, at the same time in the same place.
And so both sides of the wolf debate squared off at Bogert Park.
For the most part, both sides kept their distance...but some of the discourse did get heated.
Both sides seemed to agree that the state isn't managing the wolf population properly.
Toby Bridges said, "We have more wolves than our state Fish, Wildlife and Parks are telling us - more wolves than U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services recognizes and it's that excess that's causing all the damage."
Jennifer Hane said, "I really would prefer that they be left alone...with the exception of if there's a problem animal that's causing serious problems - that individual could be dealt with - but I really would prefer that we didn't have sport hunting of wolves."
In the end neither side gave any ground, but promised to continue advocating for their side of the wolf debate.
