Collision north of Helena sends 2 women to hospital

A fiery collision has sent two women to the hospital in Helena.

It happened at around 3 p.m. on Lincoln Road about a quarter mile from the Green Meadow Drive turnoff.

Initial reports indicate that a westbound mini-van and eastbound pickup truck crashed.

The van caught fire and both vehicles ended up on their sides on the north side of the road.

West Valley Fire Department responded to put out the fire.

The driver of the pickup truck had to be extricated from the vehicle.

The nature and extent of the injuries is not yet known.

We're told it occurred near the intersection of Lincoln and Green Meadow.

No information has been released about any injuries or the cause.
