Low clouds continue to hang around Helena, but clearing should begin to take place this evening as upsloping winds die down.
I'm concerned with some dense freezing fog developing overnight throughout parts of the state.
Should you encounter dense fog on the roadways, slow down and increase the space between you and other cars.
Temperatures will be very cold by morning, with lows in the teens.
The sunshine should return on Wednesday as a ridge of high pressure keeps us mainly clear and dry.
Afternoon highs should rebound into the upper 30s Wednesday and Thursday.
Forecast models are now showing light snow for Friday as Pacific moisture overruns a surface area of high pressure.
A couple of inches will be possible at the lower elevations, but this does not appear to be a major snow event for central Montana.
