The Governor's Office of Community Service announced that Lieutenant Governor John Bohlinger will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Helena Brewers' baseball game on Tuesday evening.
Bohlinger's appearance is aimed at spotlighting the "Fire Ready Montana" program's partnership with Montana's Minor League Baseball.
The pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 6:50 p.m. at Kindrick Field.
The 'Fire Ready Montana' campaign aims to promote "fire-wise" tips and family preparedness steps for all Montanans.
Some of the tips for fire safety include mowing your lawn, keeping gutters free of debris, creating a family contact list, and keeping an emergency supply kit on hand that includes water, food, and a battery-powered radio.
The Governor's Office of Community Service will have a 'Fire Ready Montana' information table at the game. You can learn more by visiting the Serve.MT.gov website.
