BILLINGS - Convicted child molester Jimmy J. Gauna will spend at least 50 years behind bars for luring and raping an 11 year old Billings boy in March 2010.
Judge Todd Baugh on Wednesday ordered Gauna to 100 years in the Montana State Prison, with 50 years suspended, under "Jessica's Law."
Judge Baugh also ordered Gauna to pay $12,000 to the victim for restitution.
This is the first case that has been prosecuted in Yellowstone County since the Legislature enacted Jessica's Law in 2007.
Under the law, adults over the age of 18 face strict penalties for raping children under the age of 12, and the law also imposes a mandatory minimum of 25 years behind bars.
