All the ingredients are coming together again for another high wind event across central Montana this weekend.
Strong winds are likely Saturday night into Sunday over the Rocky Mountain Front and the central plains of Montana.
A High Wind Warning will go into effect for the Rocky Mountain Front at 11 p.m. Saturday.
Model data suggests wind gusts near 100 mph in this area.
Sustained winds will howl through at 40-55 mph.
Like we experienced on Wednesday, these will be damaging winds capable of creating power outages, downing trees and causing hazardous travel conditions.
Elsewhere, a High Wind Watch remains in effect for most of central Montana for this time period.
Unlike Wednesday, there will not be a cold front pushing through the area that could drag the high winds aloft down to the surface.
However, gusty winds are still expected in many areas and that could lead to more power outages and travel difficulties.
