Yellowstone County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred near Shepherd on Monday night.

Sheriff Mike Linder says that deputies responded to a call at a trailer on Scandia Road around 10 p.m. where they found an adult man with non-life threatening gunshot injuries.

Detectives are questioning a juvenile male regarding the incident and at this time it's not known if the shooting was accidental.

The victim was transported to a local hospital; the nature and extent of his injuries has not been released.

Huntley Project schools went into lock-down from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Tuesday as a precaution in case the student showed up to school.

Superintendent Wes Coy points out the students were never in danger during the lock-down.
