HELENA - The 14 anti-coal protesters who were arrested at the Capitol last summer were sentenced on Monday.

The protesters, who staged a non-violent sit-in at the Capitol, will each pay a $340 fine.

Leasha Omeasoo of Cut Bank has been charged by the Glacier County Attorney with five counts of assault on a minor and tampering with evidence, all felonies.

Omeasoo was charged after two toddlers, who were in her care as foster children, were found to have sustained serious injuries.
